Consults with Versant customers on utilizing the range of Versant products through the software lifecycle, enabling them to develop object-oriented solutions to complex application problems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Can provide consulting on:

  OO Analysis

  OO Design

  OO Programming

  Building class libraries

  OO Methodology

  Tuning and code optimization

  Database features and how to utilize them effectively

  Data Modeling

  Versant Products

• Mentor sub-contractors and new hires
• Feed customer experience back into product planning and development process
• Manage software projects from concept to completion

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors degree in computer science or engineering (M.S. preferred)
• Over 3 years of applications development experience
• One year project management experience
• Two years experience in OO programming
• Experienced in developing applications with Versant ODBMS
• Proficient in C, C++, and UNIX or 4 years smalltalk experience
